The Pietermaritzburg High Court has ordered a woman to remove defamatory comments about her ex-boyfriend and father of her child from her Facebook page, The Star reported on Thursday.

She was ordered to pay his legal costs.

The father, a Durban businessman, secured a final interdict against the woman after comments she made about him on the social networking site, following an alleged night of "jolling" while their five-year-old daughter was in his care.

Even though the woman never specifically named him, the reference to her "ex" identified him.

The "defamatory post" was put up after their daughter spent the weekend with her father and had attended a party with him.

She ended up sleeping over and sharing a bed with a woman pre-primary teacher, who was known to the girl, and not involved in a relationship with her father.

The following week, the mother went onto Facebook claiming there had been a "jol" and her "ex's drunk friend ends up sleeping with your daughter".
