Women in business need to be seen and heard, says Ramaphosa

President Cyril Ramaphosa says women-led business are often more productive and innovative than those run by their male counterparts.

Ramaphosa engaged in a dialogue with women on issues affecting their contribution to the economy in Johannesburg on Tuesday.

 

The event was organised by the Business Women’s Association of South Africa (BWASA).

Ramaphosa said he wants more women in businesses to travel with him when he visits different countries as this will allow them to be seen and heard.

  

“Women need to be heard, they must participate with others. They must be there to trade their goods so that once we have their forums they move from contact to contact.

 

"Women-led business are often much more productive, much more hard-working, much more innovative, they are more courageous, they are much more productive than others. I won't name the others."
