A graduate engineer has broken the Guinness World Record for the tallest free-standing domino tower.
Tom Holmes spent seven and a half hours and used 2,688 dominos building the 5.275m tower.
The final result dwarfed the previous record holder by almost 20cm and would tower above a double decker bus by more than a metre.
The Bristol-based structural engineer and colleague Roland Trim spent several months designing his world record breaking tower.
He planned the best structure through a computer modelling programme to create digital prototypes.
"As an engineer I am constantly looking for creative solutions to solve problems so it's great to put my skills to use in fun tasks like this," he said.
"It's not every day that you can say you've built the world's largest domino tower!"
The pair have now set their sights on breaking their own record by attempting to build a 6m domino tower.
