Your govt is responsible for heinous crimes, Mr President - Naledi Chirwa
Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) MP Naledi Chirwa has accused the government of complicity in “heinous crimes”.

Chirwa delivered her maiden speech at the debate on President Cyril Ramaphosa's State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Tuesday.
Chirwa accused Ramaphosa of jailing #FeesMustFall students who were merely fighting for the free education promised by the ANC in 1994.

"Your government, Mr President, is responsible for many and most heinous of crimes.
You jailed Khaya Cekeshe, you jailed Bonginkosi Khanyile and are complicit for the brutal murder of Benjamin Phetla, of Bongani Madontsela just because they asked for a free education that you promised them when they were still toddlers in 1994."
Chirwa was asked to retract after members of the governing party complained about the statement.
