Zuma battles for survival amid damning allegations
African National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Gwede Mantashe will brief the media on Monday on the weekend's National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.
Mantashe will brief the media on the outcomes of the NEC meeting that saw President Jacob Zuma face another motion of no confidence from within the ANC.
Party leader Joel Netshientzhe is widely reported to have tabled a motion of no confidence against President Zuma.
The motion was debated against a backdrop of damning reports by the City Press and the Sunday Times about state capture and his alleged plans to relocate to the United Arab Emirates when his term comes to an end.
The newspaper reports revealed explosive e-mails showing the close relationship between the Gupta family and some government ministers.
Political analyst Karima Brown believes President Zuma is fighting for his political life.
Brown says Zuma is "desperately" trying to cling onto power but that his "grip slips every single day".
"For the first time there is actual proof of his involvement in divulging cabinet information, which is illegal. His son is placed at the centre of some of the allegations and the evidence is becoming incontrovertible," Brown says.
Brown says it is only a matter of time before President Zuma will have to step down.
