Zuma corruption trial postponed again

The arms deal corruption trial against former President Jacob Zuma will be back in court later this month.
Pietermaritzburg High Court Judge Piet Koen postponed the hearing to 21 and 22 September.
“Well in the circumstances then the following order is granted by consent. The order I grant is as follows, the matter has been adjourned in the absence of the first accused and the representative of the second accused to 10:00 to the 21 and 22 September 2021 in open court in Pietermaritzburg.”
The former president has not been able to attend court due toill health.

On Sunday, correctional services boss Arthur Fraser granted Zuma medical parole.
This is despite the medical parole board ruling otherwise, citing that Zuma was in a “stable” condition.
This has raised the ire of the official oopposition, the Democratic Alliance (DA).
It says that it will forward an application to court seeking the record of the decision that led to the granting of medical parole.
