Youth Voices: Chris Werge
South African singer / songwriter, Chris Werge took the country by storm with his insane vocal talent and writing ability and he aims to inspire young people to follow their dream.
The 24-year-old Capetonian stumbled into the entertainment industry by accident and says he is patient and grateful for every opportunity that comes his way.
Earlier this year he auditioned for the first ever Voice South Africa talent search competition and was picked by coach, Bobby van Jaarsveld.
Even though he fell out during the knock-out stages he released his new album as well as his title track On My Mind soon after leaving the competition.
"I think young people are scared of following their dreams because there are not a lot of opportunites in South Africa,' Werge said.
He added that dreams are important and that the youth of the country should follow their hearts.
