Hugo Broos: ‘Please kill me’ if Bafana fails to qualify for AFCON
Updated | By Karabo Tebele
New Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos is confident that the national football team will qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The next tournament will be played in 2023.
Broos landed in the country on Monday after being appointed as the coach of Bafana.
The new coach briefed the media for the first time at SAFA House on Wednesday in Johannesburg.
The 62-year-old coach will not be available in June because of his second jab of Covid-19 vaccine in Belgium.
The Belgian is confident that Bafana Bafana will qualify for the continental competition in 2023.
"Don't be angry if we don't qualify for the World Cup but in 2023 there is AFCON, and if we don't qualify for that, please kill me.
"AFCON 2023 is something that we need to qualify for and if we don't, the blame will be on me."
Cedomir Janevski is announced as Bafana assistant coach to Broos. A local assistant coach will be announced in due course.
Janevski has coached in Serbia, Belgium and Cyprus.
