Betty White Spoofs 'Wrecking Ball'

White's parody is a promo clip for her hidden camera series Betty White's Off Their Rockers, which has recently found a new home at US cable network Lifetime after NBC chose not to order a third season.

"I was asked to help promote my show Off Their Rockers, which is coming to Lifetime," White explains in the clip. "So I got some ideas from recent pop culture events that really got the kids talking." After riding a wrecking ball like Cyrus, albeit fully-clothed, White is seen asking: "Can someone hand me a sledgehammer... how about a foam finger?"

Meanwhile, White's extraordinary 74-year TV career has been recognised in the latest Guinness World Records book. In the 2014 edition, published last month (September), a brand new category has been invented for the Golden Girls actress: "Longest TV Career For An Entertainer (Female)".

As well as hosting Betty White's Off Their Rockers, she currently appears in female ensemble sitcom Hot In Cleveland, and in 2010 became the oldest person ever to host an episode of Saturday Night Live, a guest spot which earned White her sixth Emmy award. In 2011, she even picked up a Grammy for her spoken word recording of memoir If You Ask Me (And Of Course You Won't). (via)
