Cellphone snatcher outruns Johannesburg man

Criminals snatch smartphones on the street and inside restaurants, and then resell them.

How can you protect yourself from a phone snatcher?

This particular incident happened in Parktown Junction, Johannesburg. CCTV footage shows a man running towards a silver vehicle waiting in the street. A man follows but stops on the pavement when he realises the criminal and his cellphone is out of reach.

Considering how expensive phones are these days, it is a tragedy to lose them.
