From crying our hearts out to getting up and dancing in the Jacaranda FM studios, here are the top Friday Lives of 2022:

Karen Zoid – ‘They Cut The Power’

On Friday, October 21, South African singer-songwriter Karen Zoid joined Martin Bester and the Breakfast team for a live performance of a new original song, 'They Cut The Power', which is co-written by Zoid's son, Ben Francis.

This song was a special dedication to Eskom and South Africa’s loadshedding crisis.

Joe Sammy – Double performance

During the week of 10 to 14 October 2022, Breakfast with Martin Bester broadcast live from Seychelles.

To keep with the theme of all things Seychellois and island life, the team invited a local Seychellois singer, Joe Sammy, for a special Friday Live performance.

Corlea Botha – ‘Rolling In The Deep’

South African singer Corlea Botha joined the Breakfast with Martin Bester team to perform her rendition of Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep'.

This rendition left both the Breakfast with Martin Bester team and our listeners speechless.

Van Pletzen - 'Jy Bly Stil'

Music duo Van Pletzen brought the Legehness to the Jacaranda FM stage.

The duo got the entire team on their feet when they performed their song, 'Jy Bly Stil'.

The Narrow – ‘Lonely Lonely’

In a first on Breakfast with Martin Bester, alternative rock band The Narrow joined us on Friday Live to perform their song, 'Lonely Lonely'.

The gripping performance was live-streamed from the roof of the Jacaranda FM studios.

Tune in to the 'Breakfast with Martin Bester', weekdays from 06:00 - 09:00. Stream the show live here or download our mobile app here.
