‘I was in a very dark place’ - Radioraps’ Rikus de Beer
Rikus de Beer joined Breakfast on Valentine’s Day to talk about this brand new one-man show at the Time Square Arena, as well as a very difficult time in his life.
Rikus de Beer explained he went through a very dark time six years ago. February 2014 was the first time he stepped onto a stage and this year will be his 5th anniversary of his comedy career. However, things have not always been easy.
De Beer confessed to Martin Bester: "I was in a very emotional space a few years ago. The only time I feel alive is when I entertain people. Getting back up is a celebration and I do not take it for granted."
