Before starting her speech, the actress put her award on the ground, saying, "I don't work out! I can't hold it that long." This hilarious comment set the tone for the now viral acceptance speech.

Coolidge started off by thanking "the five people" who have helped keep her career going through the years, which included 'The White Lotus' creator Mike White.

White couldn't hold back his tears as Coolidge expressed her gratitude towards him.

"You've given me a new beginning," she said. "Even if this is the end, because you did kill me off, you changed my life in a million different ways. My neighbours are speaking to me—things like that!"
