On Friday, 2 September, Martin Bester and the Breakfast team debated whether one should always take a gift to child's birthday party.

Martin Bester and sports reader Xola Ntshinga agreed that they don't feel it should be required to take a birthday gift. They both agreed that only after five is a good age to start taking birthday gifts.
Philicity Reeken, Breakfast with Martin Bester's traffic reader, had opposing thoughts, saying it is definitely necessary to always take gifts for children on their birthdays - regardless of age.
