Man who launched competition to find wife is now happily married
And there's a plot twist you would never expect...
The dating scene can be a scary place.
All singles will know that it's not always easy finding the person you want to spend the rest of your life with and more often than not you have to kiss a few frogs before you get there.

Not every real-life love story is like an early 2000s rom-com.
Sometimes people get so fed up that they will do almost anything to ensure they do not end up spending the rest of their lives alone.
One TikToker took this one step further and wanted to show that people tend to take things too seriously and ended up launching a competition to find his future wife.

Gunnar Michels took to TikTok a few years ago and made a video where he mentioned that he was looking to marry a complete stranger.

While this isn't much crazier than couples getting married in reality television shows, people will always have doubts and many people who followed this journey thought they would get divorced pretty quickly.
Mainly because Gunnar and Danielle said they would get divorced after a week.
Here comes the plot twist: They haven't gotten divorced, have been married for three years, and are madly in love.
It's not the most surprising plot twist but still.
As it turns out, the couple decided not to get divorced after getting to know each other better during this experience and are still happily married three years later!
