In May 2022, the infamous 'Facebook rapist', Thabo Bester, had escaped from his prison cell in Mangaung prison by faking his own death.
As more details of this story started to unfold as the manhunt for Bester and his accomplice Dr Nandipha Magudumana continued, it seemed like something out of a Hollywood movie.
But their story is far from over.
