There is no human who can fully say that they are a fan of every single artist, band or song that has ever existed.

That's why every person is permitted to like and dislike whatever they want.

Sometimes, there are instances where there is an overlap and you find artists like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift having some of the biggest fanbases in the world.

You also find bands like Nickelback have anti-fanbases where a massive group of people just collectively decide that they are clearly the worst band in the world.

An artist who has had major success while simultaneously being ridiculed for his music is James Blunt.

The singer catapulted to superstardom when his song, 'You're Beautiful', was released and continued making music that did quite well, but in that time also became somewhat of a meme.

Luckily the singer isn't too serious about it and takes it all in his stride:

Blunt has received many honours for his work, but most recently he finally received an award for which he had been waiting 17 years.

In 2006, he won the coveted NME 'Worst Album' award, but unfortunately was not invited to the event to accept the award and has never had the physical award in his possession, until now.
