The ocean is a vast space that seems very scary when considering what lies beneath.

When you treat this force of nature with respect and follow the rules set out by lifeguards and other services, then you should be fine.

But sometimes nature has other ideas.

In a completely unpredictable turn of events, an Australian windsurfer recently experienced a scary, exciting, one-in-a-million moment that is almost unbelievable.

Jason Breen, 55, was enjoying the wind and the waves off the coast of Sydney like any typical day.

He was suddenly and unexpectedly flung from his board when a humpback whale began breaching the surface right underneath him.

Unfortunately, Breen wasn't just flung off his board but dragged under the water by the massive animal.

It could have ended very badly had his leash, which connects his leg to his board, not broken.

When he reached the shore, he realised that his GoPro had captured the entire incident.

Luckily, Jason managed to escape unscathed, although maybe a little bit shaken.
