While you might like being alone, loneliness is on a whole other level.

That's why TikToker user GrandadJoe wanted to share his story with his viewers when he decided to put himself back out there after 30 years.

GrandadJoe has over six-million followers on the social media app and decided to bring them along on his journey as he went on his first dinner date.

In the video, he can be seen fixing his hair, waiting in the restaurant, and looking at his phone hoping for his date to text him back... but then the video takes a sad turn.

Luckily for GrandadJoe, who has a lot of supportive followers, the comments quickly filled up with comments of love and compliments for how well he had handled the situation, although it was obviously not the ideal outcome.

In other videos, he tells the story of how he met his late wife and their story sounds like something out of a Nicholas Sparks novel:

Now my memory is fading I rely on my old photos to remind me of my time when my wife was alive 😞

Hopefully GrandadJoe can find another lady who is worthy of his love and who can make him happy.
