Aerial footage shows rivers of lava from the Hawaii volcano flowing into the ocean.
Large streams of lava have erupted from the Kilauea volcano in Hawaii and are extending into the ocean.
According to AFP, authorities have urged people in Hawaii to evacuate an area at risk of being cut off by a flood of lava from the erupting Kilauea volcano.
Aerial images show numerous fast-moving lava streams flowing downhill, threatening to swallow property on their way. The activity of the volcano has been going on for several weeks, and has caused the destruction of dozens of homes and other buildings. Authorities have warned that even small pieces of molten rock can be fatal.
