WATCH: This is how thugs snatch cellphones at restaurants

If you're taking a call in a public place, it might be a good idea to keep a firm grip on your phone.

Sometimes, there's no getting away from thieves determined to steal, even in public places.
Thieves are targeting outdoor sections in restaurants where they have easy access. Patrons are more relaxed and trust their space and thus become easy targets.

A video is making the rounds on social media where a thug enters a Roccomamas in Randburg, pretending to be talking on the phone while strolling towards a man who’s having an actual phone conversation. He then snatches the device and bolts.
It appears as though this is a carefully planned out move as a getaway car appears as soon as the perp runs out of the restaurant.
