WATCH: Meteorite captured falling in the North West

A video shows a meteorite falling in Ottosdal in the North West.
Barend Swanepoel‚ a farmer near Ottosdal in North West, shared CCTV footage on Facebook saying, "Die meteoriet het naby deelpan geval volgens ooggetuies."
In the video, a bright flash can be seen crashing into the horizon and then it suddenly disappears.

T. Marshall Eubanks, a physicist and VLBI radio astronomer, took to Twitter to shed more light on the incident.

Another Facebook page, Suburban Control Centre said, "There are two meteorites that have come down, one fell between Lichtenburg and Mafikeng, and the one in the video fell between Hartebeesfontein & Coligny."
