Watch: tributes pour in for "I Love You Daddy" star, Ricardo Groenewald
Updated | By Tando Ntunja
The passing of child star Ricardo Groenewald after a long battle with cancer has seen tributes come from all corners of South Africa.
Often compared to a young Michael Jackson, the similarities between the pop icon and Ricardo Groenwald were staggering. His first major hit "I Love You Daddy" was released when he was only 8 years old. His innocent, boyish soprano was also reminiscent of Jackson and gave comfort to many South Africans at the height of apartheid.
