The Durban woman who was missing for hours after being abducted on Friday morning is safe.
According to ECR News, the fifty-five-year-old, Marta Rubilar was found unharmed in Newlands East - some two hours after she was taken outside her place of work on Powell Road.
"The police found her at Newlands East where the suspects dropped her off - near the road. We have opened a case of hijacking as well as kidnapping but there have been no arrests," police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane.
Rubilar's co-worker, Raymond Ings, was at the office at the time of the incident.
He told ECR:
"I heard employees shouting - call the police, call the police. I heard our panic button being activated and knew something was drastically wrong. We often have crime in this particular road. We realised a hijacking had taken place and they'd gone off with Marta," Ings said.
The dramatic footage of her kidnapping circulated all over social media throughout the weekend. The video showed her being hijacked and bundled into her own car by a gang of men outside her workplace in Powell Road on Friday morning.
