Some sad news, the gentle giant known as George has sadly passed away...
Giant George, formerly the world's tallest dog, according to Guinness World Records, passed away last Thursday, one month away from his eighth birthday.
The following statement was made on his official website by his owners:
It is with a heavy heart that we announce Giant George died on Thursday, October 17, 2013. George passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones; one month before his eighth birthday.
We appreciate the love and support you have given Giant George over the last several years. We look forward to honouring his spirit by continuing his charitable works.
