Brave eight-year-old foils muggers' plans
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
An eight-year-old girl in Trece Martires, Philippines jumped into action to stop four robbers outside her home.
Four men posing as DVD vendors walked onto BJ Alba's property in the city of Trece Martires in the Philippines and soon regretted it as their plans for robbing the home were foiled by an eight-year-old named Brielle.
Three men stalk BJ as he exits his car and begin to attack him, wanting to relieve him of whatever is in his shopping bags. In the meantime, the fourth man makes his way into the family's home to start looting. The eight-year-old, noticing that her elder relative is in trouble, jumps into action.
Brielle catches one man, who now has a stolen bag in his position, and manages to tackle the loot out of his hands. The man shakes the girl off and runs towards a getaway vehicle. The young girl follows him and was reportedly shouting at the men to stop as they fled the scene. In the scuffle, Brielle suffered injuries to her face.
Brielle told local media that she was angry that the thieves took her relative's hard-earned money, adding that she was ready to take them on again: "If I ever see them again they’ll be sorry."
