Elon Musk announces plans for 'Teslaquila'
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
Entrepreneur Elon Musk has applied for a patent for a tequila brand called "Teslaquila".
Elon Musk is not done making weird headlines for 2018. After his company experienced a wobble following his weed smoking antics, his strange relationship with popstar Grimes, and his interference with a mine rescue mission, Musk has found the time for another venture: an alcohol brand.
The eccentric businessman has announced that he will begin selling his own brand of tequila in the near future. And why would a tech entrepreneur not want to get involved in the distillery business?

CNBC reported that Tesla approached the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the name "Teslaquila". According to the application, the drink will be either a distilled agave liquor or distilled blue agave liquor.
The idea for the drink started as an April Fool's joke earlier in 2018, and it appears Musk decided to lift the drink from the realm of imagination into the space of very real possibilities.
What will the kooky billionaire think of next? And, more importantly, would you line up for a bottle of Teslaquila?
