Facebook is reportedly changing its name and may announce it next week.
The popular social media platform, Facebook, plans to make a dramatic break from its past by rebranding the company next week, according to a report.

Facebook’s founder and chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg, is preparing to talk about the name change at a company event next week.

It is not yet confirmed what the new name will be.

Since it was reported that it might change its name - social media users have begun speculating about what it could be and poking fun at the news.

One user suggested that they name it "Facebook 2".

Another social media user poked fun and said they must rename it to, "That Thing Your Mother Loves."
