The lady behind this wonderful initiative is Alison Purchase.
Purchase stands outside the BP petrol station on Jan Smuts Avenue to give motorists a warm welcome to a brand new day.
She is the wife of the owner of the filling station and the #PetrolPumpWisdom board has become a tradition.
"When I write on the board people stop and chat with me. They give me a few quotes, I save it and write it down.
"I've been doing it since 2011. It's now a landmark and everyone knows about it."
