Here's a giant lighter for your next braai
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
Two intrepid inventors have given new meaning to the phrase "playing with fire" with this giant lighter.
Two young men with an unquenchable curiosity and a lot of free time on their hands have designed and built a giant firelighter.
The lighter is slightly longer than the average man is tall and works with the same button mechanism found on regular devices of its kind. The giant lighter is made from "a modified weed torch, electric ignition, and a blowtorch". The results are astounding.
Peter Sripol and Sam Foskuhl are proud of their invention and demonstrated its unlikely versatility. According to Nerdist, the lighter is "well suited for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to igniting a batch of fireworks and destroying a barbecue grill".
Of course, building or using a giant lighter is not advisable at all. But imagine for a moment that you did have access to one of these contraptions: it would certainly make your house the prime braai spot for the summer!
