After months, the industry is struggling due to no international visitors and the financial struggle South African citizens are facing.

Johan Badenhorst has spent the last 18-years travelling through Africa and South Africa, covering 40 countries and hundreds of thousands of kilometres. The remarkable journey has been covered on 'Voetspore', a travel docu-series on SABC 2.

Badenhorst spoke to the Scenic Drive about the tourism industry, how locals can support it and the brand new season of 'Voetspore'.

"Due to COVID-19 and lockdown we had to travel and film within South Africa. We discovered some beautiful places and we live in a great place."
