More bad news for actor Will Smith

American actor Will Smith received more bad news after assaulting comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars.

On Sunday, 28 March, actor Will Smith went viral after he assaulted comedian Chris Rock on the Oscars stage after he made fun of Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

Smith then repeatedly yelled, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f-ing mouth!”

Moments later, Smith won the award for Best Actor for his role as tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams' father, Richard, in the film, 'King Richard'.

The Academy Governor, Whoopi Goldberg, insisted that his Oscar will not be taken from him. 

Smith has since apologised and resigned from the Academy. 

But there is more bad news for Smith.

His new movie, 'Fast And Loose', which was set to launch on Netflix, was halted after the altercation with Rock.

The film is set to star Smith as a powerful criminal who loses his memory, only to learn that he was living a double life.
