Rugby player with prosthetic leg fights back to play rugby again

In 2011, JP Strydom lost his leg in a terrible motorbike accident after a drunk BMW driver drove over him. 

After the accident, his mother decided to write to Dianne Broodryk and Good Morning Angels for help.

Broodryk and the angels helped JP with his operation. The operation was a huge success and he also received a prosthetic leg from former Springbok flyhalf Morné Steyn. 

He started playing rugby with his prosthetic leg. But his dream suddenly came to an end when he received a devastating call from the Blue Bulls Rugby Union, saying that he shouldn’t be playing rugby because his prosthetic leg poses a safety risk.

Now, at the age of 24, he is fighting back to play club rugby again.
