How to cure your fear of flying

With all the bad press surrounding safety within aviation, The Complimentary Breakfast summons the help of SAA veteran pilot Captain Leo Victor Stork Tabone to aid in calming the nerves of a first time flier.
Listener of The Complimentary Breakfast, Odette Bekker, is a first time flyer with an extreme fear of taking to the skies.
She has recently won a ski trip to Italy and as the 24th of January draws closer, her anxiety is getting bigger due to not knowing what to expect from a flight.
Enter Captain Leo Victor Stork Tabone - having been with SAA since 1988, a flight officer for 13 years and with over 20000 flying hours under his belt and, he attempts to put Odette at ease.
Listen as he explains why she shouldn’t be afraid of turbulence and shares his professional opinion on what went wrong with the AirAsia QZ8501 flight that disappeared in bad weather on 28 December with 162 people on board.
