Part 1: The opener
From start to finish, the host was on fire (as usual). He kicked off the night with this line: "Tonight we honor the best and whitest…sorry, I mean brightest" - burn! Followed by a musical number with Anna Kendrick and Jack Black that highlighted classic films in the most awesome way!
Part 2: NPH in his underpants!
For those who have not yet seen the movie, this is the host recreating a famous scene from Birdman..
2. John Legend performing “Glory” at the Oscars
Common and John Legend brought the house down yet again with a performance of their Selma theme “Glory” just before claiming the award for Best Original Song.

Who needs a real Oscar when you can have an Oscar made out of yellow Legos??? Pure joy!
5. Awards are alive with the sound of Gaga
Lady Gaga wows the world by performing the Sound of Music Tribute at Oscars 2015 in her first post-engagement appearance.
6. J. K. Simmons steals the show with stirring speech
