Employee dishes about her year-end function
Yikes, the"bring your cooler box" said so much...
It's that time of year when companies draw a close to the year. Part of that for many companies means hosting a get-together aka a year-end function or Christmas party.
But things are looking bleak for many employees who have been sharing their company end-of-year function situations.

Not all companies have the budget for a fully catered end-of-year function.
Therefore, you will find many of them partially cater and then ask their employees that anything over and above what they cater for is at their cost.
One employee shared something truly surprising. In an email that was sent to employees, it read: "All employees are encouraged to work an extra 30 minutes from Monday - 4 - 7 December 2023 instead of the Year - End braai on Friday 8 December 2023."
