When you hear the word tapeworm, what's the first thing you think about?
For some reason we think of two things: high school biology and pork...
Perhaps that is interlinked in some way, considering high school bio talks about tapeworms stemming from not very well cooked pork.
But you won't find people thinking about fish first. Well, we didn't think that anyway.
A woman who goes by the name KAMI Creations on TikTok shared her story online. She said after starting to have stomach ache a year ago, she visited the doctor to run some tests.
Turns out that everything came back normal with some deficiencies.
This confused her, considering that she takes vitamins daily and eats healthily. Then the doctor said that it could be parasites...
Scarily, she takes the treatment for parasites only to visit the loo and find out that what came out didn't look like parasites at all.
It looked way, way bigger...
Turns out that it was in fact a tapeworm. Doctor says that it's the biggest of them and can only come from fish.
Here's the twisted part, she is allergic to fish and hasn't eaten it since she was six-years-old.

She was sharing her insides with a tapeworm all this time and had no idea!

She went on to share some of the symptoms she would have when she had the tapeworm. This after others commented saying they have been experiencing similar symptoms.
