'Earie' story of how a spider found its way into this woman's ear
Updated | By The Workzone with Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp
Point of note, cover your ears when sleeping...
We all have some or other phobia that stems from a story or experience we have had.
But this woman's experience sure has got us wanting to wear ear muffs to bed.
Not to ward off the cold, but to avoid anything making a home inside our ears. Yes, you read correctly.
We don't want anything making our ear their home.
A woman shared that her doctor very casually informed her that there was something in her ear.
As if that didn't freak her out, the doctor added that they would need to flush it out.
For your information, besides wearing insect repellent to bed or earplugs, it is advisable to keep your windows closed to prevent bugs from flying into your bedroom.

As much as it might seem weird to not know that there is a bug in your ear, it is quite possible.
Here are some symptoms to look out for before visiting your doctor:
Beating and clicking sounds, rustling sounds, the feeling of something crawling in your ear. This is probably the most eery time of year for this to have happened...
"If you think you have a bug in your ear, don't stick your finger or a Q-tip inside because it could shove it further in. Don't try to remove it with tweezers or anything else because it could damage your ear. Safer options include pouring vegetable oil, olive oil or baby oil into the ear, which could drown it or slide it out, or tilting your ear down and shaking your head, which could help the bug get out by itself."
