WATCH: Terrifying moment woman is swallowed by sinkhole

CCTV video footage captured a woman plunging several feet into a sudden sinkhole that opened up on the pavement she was walking on.

In the video, the woman can be seen walking when the sinkhole suddenly opened up beneath her in Lanzhou City in Gansu Province, China, earlier this week.

According to reports, the woman was lifted from the hole and taken to a nearby hospital. Despite her ribs being broken, she is expected to make a full recovery.
