This is because it has been proven that eating certain foods at specific times will help you get all the benefits of the food, and if eaten at the wrong time, the food can cause more harm than good.


Apart from just getting the benefits from food, research has found that eating certain foods at specific times also has an impact on your body weight.

Apple
An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but you need to eat it in the morning.


The fruit is a rich source of pectin which helps to smoothen the bowel function and prevents constipation.


However, if eaten at night, an apple builds up the acidic levels in the stomach leading to discomfort.


Banana
Do not eat a banana at night. This is allegedly because you can be putting yourself at risk of cough and cold.


Bananas are also full of magnesium, and if consumed on an empty stomach at night, it can lead to stomach discomfort.


Cheese:
If eaten at night, sugar can cause you to gain weight. This is because it is difficult to digest.


However, if taken in the morning, it will help with preventing bloating and weight gain. It is also rich in protein.

 

Sugar:
You have heard that sugar gives you energy, so the best possible time to consume it is during the morning because it will give you energy for the day.


At night, sugar increases the risk of the accumulation of body fat.


Sugar also gives an insulin spike, which causes blood sugar to drop too low and results in you getting hungry again.


The following food should be eaten during the day:


Meat:
The best time to have that piece of chicken or a piece of steak is around noon. Meat reportedly helps with concentration and helps boost physical strength.


The following food should be eaten at night:


Beans:
Have beans at night, as this will allegedly help give you a good night's sleep. But don't have beans in the morning as they will increase your appetite.


Beans also help in digestion and to lower cholesterol levels.


Cherries:
Cherries have melatonin, a hormone that is recommended as a sleep aid.
