BACKGROUND: Akanyang Stephen Mosadi is a driven 26-year-old from Soshanguve, north of Pretoria. He is all about the law and has been studying towards a law degree for some time.

He obtained his Legal Assistant National Diploma from TUT in 2017 - but this was not enough. Akanyang enrolled as a first year BLaw student at Unisa last year, while working as an intern. He aced the first year, with four distinctions out of seven modules.

He managed to pay for his Unisa studies with the internship stipend, but that came to an end in September last year. As a second degree student, he also does not qualify for a NSFAS bursary. Akanyang grabbed the opportunity to write to Good Morning Angels to apply for one of the Good Morning Angels New Year’s Edition SABAT Batteries bursaries.

ORIGINAL REQUEST:

Dear Good Morning Angels

Kindly be advised that I am writing in response of the bursary powered by SABAT Batteries, on the Jacaranda FM website, thus I would like to apply for the bursary with the intention to further my studies.

I hold a Legal Assistant National Diploma of which I obtained with the Tshwane University of Technology in 2017, furthermore I am studying Bachelor of Law with the University of South Africa because I have always been an aspirant legal practitioner since childhood stage. Additionally it came to my realisation that law can improve my ability and skills  to resolve a problem effectively through the use of law, especially legal problems.

As of this moment I am supposed to enrol as a second year student at the University of South Africa, nevertheless I am unable to register because of financial challenges and registration closes on 31 March 2021. Last year I managed to settle my first year fees with my internship stipend of which came to an end last year in September.

Should I be awarded the bursary, I will accept it gladly, working hard, exceeding your expectations and accomplish my dream.

As requested I am including my supporting documents. Please feel at ease to contact me by means of telephone or email if I can give some additional information. Thank you very much for the time you have taken to review my application.

Kind regards,
