Good Morning Angels: Secret Sound winner makes good on her promise to pay it forward

Emalahleni teacher, Jolize Gildenhuys, was the ecstatic winner of Breakfast with Martin Bester’s 'Secret Sound' earlier this month.

BACKGROUND: Moments after winning the fabulous R100,000 cash prize, Jolize pledged to donate R10,000 of her winnings to Good Morning Angels.

Martin invited Jolize to nominate a recipient of her choice and she immediately knew who she wanted to bless. As a mother and teacher, children are very close to her heart. Jolize is especially concerned when it comes to children who cannot rely on their own families for care and support. Jolize has nominated the New Life Children’s Home in Emalahleni.

New Life opened their first home for the long-term care of orphaned and abandoned children two years ago. They currently care for 25 children between the ages of one and 16 in three homes, with construction on the fourth home due to be completed by the end of this week. They will soon be able to give a safe and loving home to eight more children.

Tammy D’Oliveira from New Life and Jolize have never met - so this morning, Jolize is hoping to surprise them with some good news, as she herself was when she won on 20 July 2020!
