These are the most mispronounced words of 2021

Omicron and Billie Eilish are on the list of the words that are most incorrectly pronounced by people, according to Babbel. 

Babbel, a language learning service, commissioned the report from the captioning provider based on the words newscasters found most difficult to pronounce throughout the year on TV.

Here is the list of the most mispronounced words of the year:

Cheugy (To not be cool) - Actual pronunciation: CHOO-gee

Eilish (Billy Eilish) - Actual pronunciation: EYE-lish - like "stylish," and NOT "eyelash"

Ever Given - Actual pronunciation: EV-er GIV-en

Omicron - Actual pronunciation: AH-muh-kraan or OH-mee-kraan

Shein (Fashion company) - Actual pronunciation: SHEE-in
