611 police officers test positive for Covid-19

A total of 611 Police officers have tested positive for Covid-19 countrywide and six have died because of the virus.

Police Minister, Bheki Cele made the announcement in Pretoria on Friday.
"The Western Cape is leading with 441 cases, followed by the Eastern Cape 47 cases, and the rest shared by the rest of the country," said Cele.
He said of the six officers who have died from Covid-19 related illnesses, four are from the Western Cape, one from KwaZulu-Natal, and the other from the Eastern Cape.
