According to South African government guidelines, 'It is your responsibility as the owner of a vehicle to have your vehicle tested' and 'you can take it to a private or public vehicle testing station'.

Sadly, many people don't adhere to the rules of the road and we've all seen some seriously beat up cars cruising the highway - those cars that look like they are about to collapse in on themselves.

Tips and tricks to keep your car in showroom condition

  • Park in the shade
  • Keep your car’s paintwork looking brand new
  • Fix those dents and scratches
  • Keep your car clean - inside and out
  • Give your car a wax - but only let a professional do it
  • Try not to park too close to other cars
  • Ensure you take your car for a service every year or 15,000km.
