The star took to Twitter to defend his art - "Any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended".
Kanye 'Ye' West has finally responded after releasing his controversial music video for 'Eazy' - where he took shots at Pete Davidson, who is dating Kim Kardashian.
The 'Gold Digger' hitmaker has defended his art, saying it is his therapy.
"Art is therapy just like this view," he wrote on Instagram.
He added that "art is protected as freedom of speech."
Ye says he is not malicious with his art and he is planning no harm.
"Art inspires and simplifies the world. Art is not a proxy for any ill or harm. Any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended," he wrote.
Kanye West's music video
Ye released 'Eazy' featuring The Game last week.
The shocking music video shows him tying and kidnapping a figure that resembles comedian Pete Davidson.
Kanye drives the figure to a remote area and buries him up to his neck before sprinkling rose seeds on his head.
As soon as the flowers bloom, Kanye returns to cut several roses off Pete's head.
Many of those who watched the video said Kanye took the music video too far.
The music video came out a week after a judge declared his ex-wife Kim Kardashian legally single.
