Sabrina Carpenter to release new album in August

Sabrina Carpenter has been working on new music. 

The 25-year-old took to Instagram to announce her upcoming album release. 

The album is called, 'Short n' Sweet', and it is coming on August 23. 

The singer said the project is special to her. 

"Short n’ Sweet”. MY NEW ALBUM IS COMING OUT AUGUST 23rd!!!!," she wrote. 

"This project is quite special to me and i hope it’ll be something special to you too," she added.

Sabrina also teased another surprise which her fans believe might be an upcoming single. 

"I also have a surprise coming for you on Thursday night so keep an eye out!" she added.

The new album release will come a few months after Carpenter released her viral hit, 'Espresso'. 

The single is currently No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.

Earlier this year, she also spoke about how excited she is about her new music.  

“I feel a lot freer and more excited about what I’m making now because I’ve realized that genre isn’t necessarily the most important thing,” she told Interview Magazine .

“It’s about honesty and authenticity and whatever you gravitate towards. There were a lot of genres in my last album, and I like to think I’ll continue that throughout writing music,” she added.
