Congratulations to Taylor Swift. 

Her latest album, 'The Tortured Poets Department', has reached a billion streams on Spotify. This was announced by The Guardian on Wednesday, 24 April. 

This is the second record the new album broke. Last week, Spotify announced that the album was the most-streamed album in a day after its release on Friday, 19 April.

'The Tortured Poets Department' is Swift's 11th studio album. 

It has 31 songs.

Swift announced on the day of the release that the new album is a double album. 

"It's a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album," she wrote on Instagram.

"I'd written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here's the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn't mine anymore... it's all yours," she wrote.

The music video for 'Fortnight' featuring Post Malone has 38-million views.
