Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
Struggle stalwart Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has cast her vote at Orlando West High School in Soweto.
The ANC paid a visit to the 79 year-old mother of the nation ahead of the election, where she reiterated her support for the ruling party.
Speaking to the media outside the voting station, Madikizela-Mandela reflected on the struggle that led to the democratic right to vote in South Africa.
"To me the struggle was all abou the right to vote and that South Africans must choose a government they deserve," she said.
