Danilo Acquisto victim of fraudulent activitity on gay app
Afternoon express presenter and Radio host Danilo Acquisto, was part of an unfortunate trolling scheme! Grindr is a geosocial networking application (or app) geared towards gay and bisexual men, designed to help such men meet other men in their area for dating, friendship or sexual encounter - is what it says on the internet.

Danilo told team ZAlebs exclusively that he has been a victim of fraudulent activity on the app.
His name and image have been used to engage on the app and he is unaware of what the intentions of the fraudster might be.
"Dan the menace" has been doing the rounds for a few months until Danilo was made aware of the profile through friends.
"I am frustrated and saddened to learn of the news that an unknown source has used my picture and parts of my name to set up a Grindr account. I became aware of the person who has created this profile without my consent through friends who use the site and had come across the profile. Naturally, they contacted me immediately and I have asked that the account be reported and taken down. Please note, this is not me. " Said Danilo

Many celebrities have had online profiles lead to real-life scams. Often the fraudster would create a profile and manage booking and accept payments through the fake profile.
At least the Afternoon Express presenter has been made aware and is handling the situation.
